Aerosols use pressurised liquefied gas as propellants to eject the contents, be it shaving foam or deodorant.
Propellants can be flammable gas (class 2.1) or non flammable non toxic gas (class 2.2).
Toxic gases are prohibited to be used as propellants in aerosol dispensers.
