IMDG CODE 36-12

IMDG Code amendment 36-12 will become mandatory from 1st January 2014 however parties may apply the amendments in part or in whole on a voluntary basis from 1st January 2013.

Amendment 36-12 will come in print by October 2012. Revised by harmonizing with the UN Recommendations on the transport of dangerous goods, 17th revised edition IMDG Code 36-12 has some addition to Dangerous Goods List with UN Numbers running up to UN 3506 totaling 2804 entries.

Making the Code more user friendly 36th amendment comes with major reshuffle in part 7, stowage and segregation, chapters 7.1 & 7.2, which have resulted in considerable re organizing of chapters and paragraphs in part 7.
