OPCW won the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize

With prize motivation for its extensive efforts to eliminate chemical weapons the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) won Nobel Peace Prize for 2013. In the field of arms control and disarmament OPCW has done great work since its founding in 1997. With 189 member countries OPCW’s contribution to make our world chemical weapon free is admirable.

By bestowing Nobel Peace Prize to OPCW Nobel committee has recognized OPCW’s commitment and contribution to world peace.
