Course was well designed and syllabus was planned to make complicated things look easy. Interaction showed Mr. Shashi Kallada’s research and experience on the subject. Q&A sections were satisfactory. Live and past examples were very helpful in understanding of some difficult concenpts.

I wanted to feedback on the totally brilliant dangerous goods regulations course I attended as virtual training. This was my first virtual based DG training, and has changed the work style in a positive way.

I have been able to employ the skills I learnt, with great results. Instructor was extremely knowledgeable in his subject matter and was able to tailor the whole class with individual needs.

The training was very inspirational, energizing, bringing lots of ideas, with both substantial and in-depth knowledge together with case-studies, learning with experience and being fully practice-oriented.

Well balanced composition between the trainees and the instructor, which contributed to interested and focused discussions and exchanges.

The experience from start to finish was faultless. I could see the thorough professionalism in the instructor.

With that, I have personally recommended the instructor to other colleagues and friends in the shipping fraternity.

We have limited IMDG knowledge earlier, this training helped our team to know more about IMDG code, Consignment procedures and understanding of special provisions.

Training Materials provided is very helpful and guiding us to find the necessary info.

To begin with I was quite impressed with the discipline of the assigned training. The session started and ended on time. I particularly enjoyed the briefing done by Mr. Shashi who was very interactive and ensured that every participant was well engrossed. Above all the skills learnt during the session can be of immense help in handling of the hazardous cargo. I sincerely feel the below discussed points will especially prove to be useful in the days to come:
Usage of Segregation Table
Identification of the nature of the cargo through UN number by aptly utilizing the Dangerous goods list
Use of special provision in transport of Hazardous cargo
Classification of Dangerous goods
Use of placards & labels
Further the training will save abundant time that was earlier employed shuffling between various files to derive the necessary information concerning a particular cargo. With a comprehensive idea about Dangerous goods, there will no longer be any confusion with regard to the nature of the specific cargo, as in if it is HAZ or non HAZ.
In short everything was simply great!

Initially I had a feeling that the course would be a complex one because of the chemicals and the UN numbers involved. However, after the first session itself the course took me off by surprise and it more interesting than what I had thought.

This course has helped me to equip myself with the necessary knowledge of handling the DG Cargoes with ease while dealing with the Customers and Carriers. I would recommend this course to all the professionals in the Liner Shipping Trade and would like to thank our Management for providing such a wonderful training to enhance our knowledge.

Mr. Sashi has a wonderful way of explaining the nitty gritty of the subject by navigating the session with fun and ease thereby rousing the interest of the participants. I would like to thank him for offering such a wonderful course and wish him all the best in future.

Had wonderful experience and learnt many things which will be a great help in my professional carrier. DG cargo is a vast subject and is a specialist task , to cover the entire topics in few hrs is not an easy task. Most of the topics were not only covered but also made very user-friendly and explained in a simplified manner.

This session has the potential to encourage everyone to be more responsible towards humanity and Environment. It also influence all professionals to take the DG topics seriously at the same time it also increases confidence to handle any mishap.

As a beginner with very limited IMDG knowledge, the training program has helped me a lot and also taught me how to navigate through the IMDG code. Topics such as General awareness/familiarization of IMDG Code, Classification, Dangerous Goods List, Marking-Labelling & other consignment procedures, Use of Packaging, IBC, Tanks, Bulk Container, Reefer Container, Segregation, Limited/Excepted Quantities, Dangerous Goods Declaration etc. were covered in depth providing us a very good understanding. Importance of special provisions is a major takeaway for me.

Thank you so much for the amazing detailed training, helping us out with patience answering the queries. The material modules are very informative & is a perfect guide. Nice, clear and concise presentations. Inclusion of videos and photos have been very impactful.

Shashi Kallada is one of the most knowledgeable persons on the IMDG code. He has conducted numerous training’s at Seaspan and has developed our ‘IMDG training’ course which has been a great success.

Our team had the opportunity to participate in an exclusive Webinar conducted by Shashi recently. It was a crisp 2 hours per day x 5 days event which was participated by all our team mates online on the Zoom Platform.

Shashi had prepared the training materials in advance and shared with the participants well on time so that each one could be prepared with the subjects being covered each day and any queries.

In order to make the sessions interactive and lively, there were some exercises that our team were involved with every day.

There was an assessement of all participants and certificates were issued to all of them after they qualified the assessement criteria.

In the current situation of Work From Home and social distancing, I think this model of imparting training will see a lot of traction and I wish Shashi all the very best for his upcoming sessions.
