Hazard communication in GHS & IMDG Code must not be mixed up or make confusion to targeted end users. There are separate rules for displaying marks , labels & placards required by IMDG Code and GHS label elements.

Packages displaying GHS labels must be such a way that GHS pictograms not required by IMDG Code should only appear as part of a complete GHS label and not displayed independently.

Similarly, GHS pictograms not required by IMDG Code should not be displayed on CTU (freight containers, road vehicles or railway wagons/tanks).
