A quick reference guide for marking labelling and placarding of lithium batteries transported by sea.
Lithium batteries (ion and metal) are either fully regulated under Class 9 or regulated under special provision 188 of IMDG Code. Refer SP 188 here. There are different provisions for marking, labeling and placarding lithium batteries regulated under SP 188 and Class 9.
