IMDG Code 40-20 Online Class

Agenda1. General Awareness/Familiarization• Description of Classes, UN Number, PSN, Techname, of dangerous goods; packaging labelling, marking, placarding, packing of container, stowage, segregation, declaration, emergency response documents.

2. Function Specific -Forwarder/Tank Operator• Verify shippers’ dangerous goods booking details and documents.• Validate shippers’ declaration and other documents such as package test certificates, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) against cargo details and IMDG Code.• Verify compatibility of goods loaded in same container.• Verify compatibility of Tank against dangerous goods.• Verify temperature-controlled goods in reefer meets IMDG Code requirements.• Ensure all information is submitted to carrier is in accordance with IMDG Code.• Marking, Labelling of packages and marking/placarding of containers.• Verify/ensure container is packed in accordance with CTU Code.• Tank Operators/Freight forwarders responsibilities.

3. Security• High consequence dangerous goods, security risks, recognizing security risks, methods to reduce risks. 

• Soft copy notes & workbooks will be provided
• Certification: 100% attendance & minimum 80% marks in final assessment.
