IMDG Code 39-18 published in 2018 may be used partly or wholly during 2019 and will become mandatory from 1st January 2020.
IMDG Code 39-18 has updated the exemption criteria for viscous flammable liquids.
Applicable to paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, adhesives, polishes, coating solution, printing ink, wood preservatives and other viscous flammable substances of class 3.

Viscous flammable liquids meeting above criteria are exempted from below provisions of IMDG Code 39-18
