Hi, Can the signature for declaration and the signature for the packing certificate be the in one and same box on the DGN? I have a DGN where there is no box for the packing certificate on the DGN  instead there is only box for the declaration and with the following text:   Declaration: Name of signatory  Date Signature on behalf of shipper “I hereby declare that the contents of this consignment are fully and accurately described above by the proper shipping name(s), and are classified, packaged, marked and labelled/placarded, and are in all respects in proper condition for transport according to applicable international and national governmental regulations. Is this allowed in regard to the IMDG code (this is not a tank) and let’s say the one who makes the DGN is the same person loading the container?

IMDG Code para 5.4.2.2 states

“The information required in the dangerous goods transport document and the container/vehicle packing certificate may be incorporated into a single document. If the information is incorporated into a single document, the document shall include a signed declaration such as “It is declared that the packing of the goods into the container/vehicle has been carried out in accordance with the applicable provisions”.

IMDG Code 40-20 part 5

Interpreting above, if the DGN has only one box for signature for both shipper and packer the declaration should also include the words “It is declared that the packing of the goods into the container/vehicle has been carried out in accordance with the applicable provisions”.
