International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code 39th amendment came into force from 1st January 2020. There are some corrections for the English edition of the Code. Correction document runs into 15 pages.

These corrections include various changes in:

  • Classification of Gases, Self-reactive substances, Organic peroxides, Packing group assignment for class 8, Assignment to class 9
  • Packing and Tank provisions
  • Consignment Procedures
  • Marking and labelling of packages including IBCs
  • Documentation
  • Construction and Testing of Packagings
  • General stowage provisions
  • General segregation provisions
  • Stowage and segregation on containerships
  • Stowage and segregation on general cargo ships
  • Segregation groups
  • Dangerous Goods List, columns 5,6,15,16,17
  • Special provisions
  • Appendices
  • Index

Users having printed English edition is encouraged to update the books with the corrigenda published by IMO. Click here to download same

Those using digital editions need not use this as the providers do the corrections on digital copies.
