6 days into 2020 we are witnessing fire on board mega container ship.
Fire erupted on container ship COSCO Pacific while she was en route from Port Klang to India. According to SPLASH, fire started in a container packed with lithium batteries declared as spare parts. Fire is put off, vessel diverted to Colombo.
Vessel arrived Colombo at 1330 LT on 6th January. After investigation vessel will depart Colombo.
