In IMDG Code dangerous goods list column 16 (stowage and segregation) we see requirement “Clear of living quarters” for many of the entries.

What does “Clear of living quarters” mean?

Clear of living quarters means that such dangerous goods  and containers carrying such dangerous goods must be stowed a minimum distance of 3 meters from accommodation, air intakes, and machinery spaces and any other work areas.
