During inspection Hong Kong Customs became suspicious about the shapes of break-bulk cargo under tarpaulin and subsequent inspection resulted in seizure of nine armoured personnel carriers aka military Vehicles. The shipment was from Taiwan to Singapore and was seized at Kwai Chung container terminal in Hong Kong.

Ministry of Defence, Singapore, has raised the ownership claim for these armoured personnel carriers.

These types of goods fall under ‘strategic commodities’ in Hong Kong and need a license for import, export, transshipment or re-export.
